The Downtown Community Association is a volunteer-run group dedicated to supporting local businesses and strengthening the neighbourhood around Mercer and Tamsin Streets. You will find a welcoming space here whether you own a shop on Market Square or simply enjoy walking the historic grid.
Our members work together to advocate for the interests of Downtown merchants, improve public spaces, and bring the community together through seasonal events. Most notably, the Association organizes the annual Winter Lights Festival, which draws visitors from across the region every December.
Meetings are open to everyone. We gather on the first Tuesday of every month from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. year-round at the Wrenford Public Library — Main Branch. There is no cost to attend or join. You can drop in to learn about upcoming projects, share ideas, or just meet your neighbours.
If you would like to get involved, volunteer, or simply find out more about our programs, please reach out to the City's community development office at [email protected].
