Corvid Creek Knitters is a free crafting circle for seniors who enjoy making things with yarn. Every Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., between September and May, the group gathers at the Corvid Creek Natural Area. You can bring your own projects or work on group pieces together.
The circle focuses on creating warm blankets and hats for local hospitals and shelters across Wrenford. It is a relaxed space to learn new stitches, share tips, and meet neighbours. No prior knitting experience is needed—just bring your favourite chair and some yarn, or borrow supplies from the group.
To join a meeting or find out more, contact the City’s community development office at [email protected]. The City does not run the group, but it helps coordinate the schedule and location. All materials for the donation items are provided, and you are welcome to use your own yarn for personal projects.
Come for the knitting, stay for the conversation. New members are always welcome to drop in and try it out.
