The Copper Ridge Quilters' Co-op is a friendly sewing and quilting group that makes blankets for local charities. If you enjoy working with fabric, this is a great place to share your skills and meet new neighbours.
The group meets on Mondays from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., from October through March. You can join at the Copper Ridge Youth Centre. All skill levels are welcome, and you can bring your own sewing machine or use one on site. Members work together to create warm blankets that are donated to community organizations throughout the year.
There is an annual membership fee of $20.00, which covers meeting space and basic supplies. To sign up or ask questions, please email the City's community development office at [email protected]. They will connect you with the group's volunteer coordinator.
Whether you are a seasoned quilter or just want to learn how to sew, you will find a welcoming group ready to help you stitch your next project.
