Compost Wrenford

A volunteer group that teaches residents how to compost at home and maintains community drop-off sites across Wrenford.

Compost Wrenford teaches residents how to turn food scraps and yard waste into nutrient-rich soil for their own gardens. We also run and maintain community drop-off sites across the city to keep organic material out of landfills.

If you care about reducing household waste and want to learn practical composting methods, this group is for you. Members meet Tuesdays, 6 to 8 p.m., September to June at the Ashgrove Community Hub in the Ashgrove neighbourhood. There is no charge to join or attend meetings. All skill levels are welcome.

You do not need to bring any equipment. We provide starter kits for beginners and share tips on managing bins, choosing locations, and troubleshooting common issues. If you would like to help maintain a drop-off site or join the planning team, just send an email to [email protected]. A volunteer coordinator will get back to you with the next steps.

Together, we help Wrenford divert waste, support local gardens, and build a more sustainable community.
