Welcome to the Benchlands Chess & Board Games Club, a friendly group for anyone who loves strategy games. Whether you play chess, checkers, backgammon, or modern board games, you will find a welcoming table here. We host regular chess tournaments, board game nights, and strategy game learn-and-play sessions for the community.
Our meetups take place at the Benchlands Community Hub. The space is comfortable and easy to access, making it a great spot for neighbours to gather. You can bring your own favourite games to share, or try out the ones we have on hand. If you are new to a game, experienced players are always happy to show you the ropes.
We meet every Saturday from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., October to March. The club is open to all ages and skill levels. It is completely free to join, so you can drop in whenever you like. Families, students, and seniors all enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and the chance to practice their favourite games.
To get involved or learn more about upcoming events, reach out through the City's community development office. Send an email to [email protected] and a staff member will point you in the right direction.
