Ambrel Lake Junior Sailors is a youth program that teaches basic sailing skills and safety on the lake using community-owned dinghies. The group is open to youth aged 8 to 16 who want to spend their summer outdoors on the water. Sessions run on Wednesdays from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. during July and August. Participants meet at the Eastfield Boat Launch, where volunteers provide instruction on handling a sailboat, reading the wind, and following water safety rules. The cost is $75 for the entire summer program. This program is run by volunteers and is listed in the City's community directory. You do not need to bring your own boat; the community dinghies are provided for the season. If you have questions about the program, need to register, or want to volunteer your time, contact the City's community development office at [email protected]. We look forward to seeing you on the water.
