Riverside Flats Snow Route Ban

As part of the City of Wrenford’s commitment to keeping our roads safe and clear during the winter months, the seasonal parking restrictions are now in effect for the Riverside Flats neighbourhood. This by-law is enforced to ensure that snow clearing equipment can access all streets efficiently. Failure to comply may result in your vehicle being towed at your expense.

When the Ban is in Effect

The no-parking restrictions are active from November 1, 2021 to April 30, 2022. During this period, you must not park on any designated snow route between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. on the night before a snowfall or ice event. Signs indicating these routes are posted throughout Riverside Flats. Please check the Roads & Winter Maintenance section for the full map of restricted streets.

Exemptions

If you have a medical condition or mobility issue that prevents you from moving your vehicle, you may apply for a parking ban exemption. Residents of Riverside Flats are eligible for a residential exemption permit. To apply, please complete the application form available on the Apply for a snow route parking ban exemption page. Applications must be submitted by October 31, 2021 to ensure your permit is processed in time for the first snowfall.

Enforcement

By-law officers patrol designated routes nightly. If your vehicle remains parked during a snow event, it will be towed immediately. The City is not responsible for any damage incurred during towing. For questions about specific street designations, contact the City at 519-555-0100 or dial Wrenford 311. You can also email [email protected] with your address and street name.

Help us keep Riverside Flats accessible for everyone this winter. Park on your driveway or in a garage, or move your vehicle to a non-restricted street before the enforcement hours begin.
