Our commitment to equity and inclusion
The City of Wrenford is committed to fostering equity, diversity, and inclusion while standing firmly against racism, hate, and discrimination. You will find these values in everything we do. We believe our city's strength comes from the diverse experiences, cultures, and backgrounds of everyone who lives, works, and visits Wrenford. This policy makes sure that our values guide how we deliver services, hire staff, and listen to you.
What the policy covers
This policy applies to all City employees, elected officials, and contractors. It explains how we work to identify and remove barriers in our programs and workplace. Here is what you can expect:
- A respectful workplace: We do not tolerate discrimination, harassment, or hate. All staff must complete mandatory Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) training. This training covers unconscious bias and how to maintain respectful workplace practices.
- Fair services for everyone: We review our programs to make sure they are accessible and fair for all residents, no matter your race, gender, ability, or background.
- Inclusive community engagement: We use clear and inclusive methods to hear from equity-deserving groups. Your voice helps shape local decisions.
How to report concerns or ask questions
If you experience or witness discrimination while dealing with City services, you can report it through our standard complaint channels. Employees should use the internal reporting tools provided by Human Resources. Residents and community members can contact the City Manager's office directly. You can also visit the Cultural Diversity Resource Hub in the main lobby of City Hall for walk-in support.
