About the Wrenford Business Directory

The Wrenford Business Directory (see the directory) lists all licensed businesses operating in the city. You can use it to verify that a business holds a valid licence, find contact information, or locate a specific type of service provider in your neighbourhood.

How to search the directory

Enter a search term in the search box. The directory accepts:

  • Business name
  • Street address
  • Business category or licence type

Results will appear after you type three letters. You can narrow your results by using the Browse Categories list on the right side of the screen. Click the categories that match what you are looking for.

I am getting too many results.

Select fewer categories in the Browse Categories list. You can hover over a category name to read a short description of the types of businesses it includes.

I am not getting any results.

If the search returns nothing, check the following:

  • Your search term might be too specific. Try a broader category or a different spelling.
  • The business may not have a current City of Wrenford Business Licence.
  • The business is a home-based business. These listings will not show a street address to protect the owner's privacy. You can still view the phone number, email, or website if the owner provided them.

Why is my business not listed?

A business will not appear in the directory if:

  • It does not have a current City of Wrenford Business Licence.
  • It is exempt from requiring a licence under the Business Licensing By-law 2021-033, and the owner chose not to opt in.

If you believe your licensed business is missing, please contact the Business Navigation Service team.

Business owners: updating your listing

If your business details are incorrect, or if you need to change your business category, you can request an update. Changes usually take up to 48 hours to appear in the directory after we process them.

Contact the Business Licensing Office to update your listing:

Home-based businesses can request that their street address be hidden from the public directory at any time.

Why the directory matters

The directory is updated regularly to reflect current licensing data. If you notice a business operating without a licence, or if you have a complaint about a licensed business, you can report it through the City's standard complaint process. This helps keep our local economy fair and safe for everyone. You can also use the directory to find businesses that support local initiatives, such as those participating in the Downtown Business Improvement Area or those offering services in specific neighbourhoods.
