About the grant
The Accessibility Improvement Grant helps small businesses and property owners in Wrenford make their spaces easier to navigate for everyone. We know that a few small changes—like adding a ramp, upgrading a door opener, or improving signage—can make a big difference for customers and staff who use wheelchairs, walkers, or strollers. This grant is funded through the Downtown Business Improvement Area and the City's economic development budget.
What we fund
- Installation of ramps, handrails, and accessible door openers
- Upgrades to washrooms to meet current accessibility standards
- Clear, high-contrast wayfinding and parking signage
- Consultation with an accessibility expert to plan your upgrades
We do not fund routine maintenance, general renovations, or landscaping. Projects must be located within the City of Wrenford and completed by December 31, 2026.
