What are neighbourhood profiles?
The City of Wrenford divides our community into 22 neighbourhoods. Each one has its own identity, history and set of services. Neighbourhood profiles bring together census data, city surveys and planning maps so you can see exactly how your area is growing and changing.
How we use the data
City planners, transit schedulers and community staff use these profiles every day. The information helps us decide where to add park benches, how to route the bus, where to build new community gardens and how to plan for winter snow removal. When you see a new trail section or a refreshed playground, it is often because a profile showed that neighbourhood needed it.
The profiles also feed into our long-term planning. When the city reviews the Official Plan or updates a zoning area, we look at where families, students and older adults are settling. This ensures we build the right kind of housing and keep our streets safe and walkable as the population grows.
What you will find in each profile
- Population counts and household sizes
- Age breakdowns, including youth and older adults
- Housing types and tenancy rates
- Language spoken at home
- Commute patterns and transit usage
- Links to local maps and ward councillors
Explore the profiles
You can view the full set of demographic tables and interactive charts through the Wrenford Demographic Dashboard. The dashboard updates every time Statistics Canada releases new data, usually following the national census in 2026.
Local groups and neighbourhood associations use these profiles to apply for municipal grants and community safety funding. If you are planning a new park amenity or a winter event, the profile will tell you how many households can take part and what age groups live nearby. This helps you tailor your proposal to the people who will actually use it.
Each profile is grouped by ward. Wrenford has six wards, and each ward contains three to four neighbourhoods. You can jump straight to your area below:
Ward 1 · Downtown, Riverside Flats, Old Mill, Fallsview
Ward 2 · Benchlands, Westbrook, Larch Heights, Hollis Park
Ward 3 · Northgate, Kingfisher, Railside, Copper Ridge
Ward 4 · Ambrel Lake, Southview, Orchard Park, Ashgrove
Ward 5 · Eastfield, Tamarack, Industrial Park East
Ward 6 · Meadowlark, Stonebridge, Wildrye
If you need a printable version or a large-print map, visit the Neighbourhood maps page. For a broader view that includes council boundaries and major transit routes, check the Ward profiles or the Interactive city map.
